Hi Followers, I’ve been quiet for some time , had some personal difficulties but come through them and now back on track in my new home in the foothills, not in the Himalayas but in the foothills of the Derbyshire Peak District, perched on a hill I look across from my roof garden to the White Peak, which at the moment is very green, but I’m sure will turn white as Autumn turns to Winter and I am sure I have found my Shangrilah.
Don’t get me wrong it’s not as luxurious as it might sound, based in an old mining village, but it suits me fine. The roof garden is no more than a flat roof over the kitchen with railings round the hedge. The Garden is overgrown but I’ve already started to tackle this and found hidden gems, a wide range of partly smothered shrubs and herbaceous plants. Once pruned these will really come to life next spring. A defuct water feature will soon be resurected and the picture will be complete provided that the tenancy is renewed next August. The house is old probably originally a farmworkers cottage, with bent wall, uneven floors and a gigantic Cellar. I love it.
My writing has suffered due to personal difficulties over the past three months but thats over now and apart from loneliness everything is fine.
I am moving my publishing to a local site in Sheffield so to continue to follow my progress you will need to resubscribe to The Yorkshire Fenix@7thwave.io subsciption is still free for most of my work. Theres lots more in the pipeline.
