I awoke again today, a welcome achievement at 77 going on 78. Another pleasant Father’s Day, Lunch yesterday with my Daughter. Ready for work, another day another dollar as they say.
Another book sale yesterday and a mention in Australian Literary circles. ‘One Day in May’ is now launched worldwide.
Lessons learned though, there are too many writers named Keith Wood and I shall have to revert writing as the ‘Yorkshire Fenix’ which was my original idea.
But more importantly, I looked out of my window to the meadow across the road and saw a family of foxes playing, A Vixen and three well grown cubs.
I stand at my window mesmerised at their athletic prowess. They appeared as Black Dogs only to colour to rich Red/Brown as the daylight intensified.
They too were glad to be alive and we shared the feeling though they were unaware they were being watched so intently.
I had to write up my diary on this glorious morning in the foothills of the South Pennines before the inevitable sounds of the commercial day begins.
Breakfast now before my first appointment at 8 am. How great to be busy.
Stay well my friends and enjoy life.
Signing off as the Yorkshire Fenix.
