Last Night I’d got it on me, I was in a bad mood, unlike me really, but I was feeling rejected by you my adoring public and in my gruff Yorkshire manner I was going to tell you what I thought of all the people who read my free blog.
Fortunately, I then get a call from my new publishing platform advising me of a mistake I had made which was the cause of my distress. That’s the advantage you get from being enrolled with a smaller platform like Sheffield based 7th wave.
Anyway, fortunately I had not posted my rather abrupt comments about my global internet community, but I still think I need to apolgise for even thinking of such a thing. I’ve had to do a bit of that recently. I feel as though I’ve let a few people down by not honouring some of my commitments. My own fault really, I’m one of those daft people who volunteer for everything without thinking, I really must stop being so impulsive. That’s how I ended up buying another car, I only went in to see how much my old one was worth and ended up buying on impulse much against a Yorkshireman’s nature. To be told a week later that the dealer had sold my old vehicle for two and a half grand more than they’d given me should have told me never again to act on impulse.
However, let me move on to a pleasanter subject, my publishing, now I’ve moved on to a new regime. My weekly free bolgs can now be accessed by searching , yorkshirefenix.7thwave.io Also the other change is that I’m being more ambitious. The first episode of my first short story, an adaption of an 18th century manuscript was published yesterday and can be read by subscribing at the Bronze level, a mere £2 GBP, less than a cup of Latte, for that you get 7 episodes to be published over 7 weekly parts. This one is called “A Ghost Story or is it?”. The second story will follow next month and you can read it under your same Bronze level subscription, It will appear as “The Witch of Whittington Moor” Many more are planned.
Then my first full length Novel is due out in Paperback form in January 2025 under the title of “One Day in May”, I’ve strted to compile a list of prospective buyers who will get a copy at a discount rate. This will be shortly followed by a second Novel entitled “ The Man with Three Faces” A biographical spy thriller based on one of my ancesters, James Sandeman, who was a Double Spy for Bonnie Prince Charlie and King George. You see, as a family, we have always sat on the fence until the winners of the contest were known.
The next short story, yet a figment of my imagination is likely to be about the Highwaymen who roamed these northern climes in the 18th Century. A working title of “ The Hornet’s Nest at Misterton” So watch out for these and other titles about the local history and it’s characters.
But a word of warning to you all, remember when talking to a writer anything you say or do might well feature in their next Novel. If you’d like to feature then get in touch and talk to me.
You can contact me at (Yorkshirefenix.7thwave.io ) or directly by email (yorkshirefenix@gmx.com) Don’t include the brackets, Thank you and have a nice day
This was light and airy. Fluttering like a winged bird. It wasn't so serious that I would call it NEWS but it was news worthy. Oh, bye the way. How did the Whittington clan get so far north? At on time I read in a book that he was appointed Lord Mayor of London. It said his cat was the cause of it happening. I am a slow reader so I hope the stories are not too long.
